Court Refuses to Restore Trump's Travel Ban, for Now

White house night smaller 300In a 29-page opinion, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to reinstate President Trump's travel ban (i.e., Executive Order 13769)--for the time being. Oral arguments can be heard here.

That may not be the last word on the issue. Only a 3-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court heard the case. 

The case might be reviewed "en banc," meaning by all of the 9th Circuit's judges.  The losing party might appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, which might agree to hear the case.
